It still looks to be painted(tach). Do you remember if it was when you took picture?

that's the pic I took when I was at wengers on wed. 10-15. whether they painted the tach. or if it was originally painted gray I do not know.

I didn't want to start an argument but every pic I have looked at the trim ring looks gray. If it was chrome you would see a reflection of the steering wheel in it where the 3 bars go out, and if it was chrome and you was seeing a reflection of the gray it wouldn't be consistent in color around the gauge and it would be reflective especially if a flash was used on the camera it would be reflected back from the chrome.

I would have to agree that the Wenger's gauge does look painted, I can definitely see a difference between it and other chromed gauges.........Never seen it in person but from the pics it does look that way. I would also have to agree that yes, Sam you do seem to have a thing for gauges.
