After talking to Tony last night and doing some more thinking today I think it's time to retire the D-EO-20 rakes. I love using them but I have also lost a lot of hay this year due to it getting rained on because I couldn't get it raked and baled in time. I need to speed up some of my processes. I had already decided to retire my TO-20 in favor of the diesel 135, the #62 moldboard plow has been retired in favor of the disc plow, I guess the rakes are next. The sad part is I guess I won't have any watchers anymore. I have had people stop and watch me work with some of that stuff. I was plowing two weeks ago and I looked up and there was a guy with his two boys watching me. He wanted them to see how they plowed in the "old days". With my job I'm usually off in the summer months and I sell my hay to make extra money and I just got to thinking about how much money I've lost due to the speed and the fact that a bar rake ropes the hay and hurts drying rather than helps. I guess I could keep one of the D-EO-20 rakes of mine around and break it out on special occasions. What's your thoughts?

Don't drag me into this! I didn't do nothing!!! These guys will linch me at the next FENA show!
I just think the rakes might work better or worse on different tractors, but since this is your decision... yeah... ya talked me into it....I will bring an empty trailer to your place!!!!

No you didn't talk me into it, but after I talked to you and did some more thinking today I realized I need to update some equipment. The first D-EO-20 rake I got was still raking, actually I used it back in the spring but like a lot of them the frame had been broken and welded back several times and a few other things. I had robbed some clips and bolts out of it to put on my other D-EO-20 rake and now it is just sitting there in the weeds. I tell you what Tony, if you want that rake when you come down bring a trailer and I'll load it on there and you can take it back and play with it. That's right...it's free to you if you want it.

Jason I think Tony was out in the dark hooking up the trailer after reading your last response last evening so he should be there when you get home from work today.
