while changing the hydraulic/transmission oil in my old TO-35 Ferguson tractor.
I noticed that the cotter key that has always been sticking out of the bottom of the sump housing is missing in action. (weep hole is open)
Question: has anyone ever replaced that cotter key without breaking the tractor apart.
if so, how did you do it??????????????
I have been thinking of all kinds of redneck opportunities to really screw something up by dropping a cotter key inside the housing. Then it getting sucked up into something that would later require the tractor to be split apart to repair and cost loads of money.
Thanks for your response,
Fred
