How do you get air in a hydraulic system that is constantly running and recirculating? I don't see how you can get air trapped in the lift system.

Sure it's air? , more likely to be a leak somewhere. Try running it with the side cover off and look for turbulence ,don't put your hand in though!

this worked for me just right of seat looking down the 2 bolts that hold the stand pipe there's a allen head screw loosen it up start tractor untill oil comes out then tighten it back up

I've had hyd. pump and lift completely disassembled, cleaned out and void of ALL oil on both of my tractors, more than once and never have I had a problem with air in the lift. I think it just works it's way out as it's always pumping. I would also suspect a leak somewhere. Did you replace the O-ring on the stand pipe and the one under the stand pipe cover......I missed that one the first time as it was compressed and looked like part of the cover.

Sorry I haven't been following this thread at all. But air in the system will come out usually if you add an implement to the 3 point and lift and lower a few times. If you have a TO20/30 or a TE type (I don't know what you have) then you can slacken off the clamp bolt on each Side Chamber, this will slacken the caps on the Valve Chambers slight and the air should come out if you raise the Lever with the Engine idling, don't have it revving and don't slacken off the bolts on the Clamp too much or the oil pressure would force the Clamp off the Pump. You will see the bolt head on each side on the Chamber that is bolted to the side of the Pump 11/16 a/f. You can easily do it through the round port below the seat. Slacken them one at a time. If you have the 35 type Pump it is different, but just email again if this is the case, but the procedure is similar. Are you sure that it is not caused by the Pump intake being restricted with crud, you would get air in the system with that too. John(UK) [email protected]
