No dodgey guages this time, I invested in an infared gauge and after finishing mowing the last time the temp gauge was in the green and the infared hit 414f hence the need to check head for warpage. The clogged water ports wouldn't let water to the sensor.Ed,while troubleshooting the prv I collapsed the spring since its adjustable on these models and found the only thing 80 plus lbs did to the engine was spring the oil gauge which gave 40 lbs. switched off, having it holding about 60 running making me think I had blown out the problem.I should post a pic of the mains I changed out that looked as good as new and plastigauged out good also. Thanks yall
