Loose Throttle Control Lever

I have a TO-30 Ferguson with a loose throttle control lever and am
in dire need of fixing it. It seems to throttle up as im driving along
so I have to keep pushing the throttle up so that it does not run all
out all the time. I have read other individuals ideas but am having a
hard time visualizing their fix-it methods. Anybody have an idea? I
dont mean to be a nuisance, just a guy who wants to have his
tractor running in the best condition possible.

Garoonteed you ain"t no noosance. . .
Me, on the other hand. . .
Your problem might be the cork friction disc under the dash behind that big round washer looking thing. You could try to tighten it up or if it is missing/damaged you need to replace it.
Just a quick note before I hit the sack.

You might check the tension on the Throttle Rod Spring. It can be tightened by loosening the Spring Retaining Clamp and moving it toward the dash. Also make sure you have the Govenor Compensating Spring connected to the Compensator link at the top front of your throttle rod.
