Let's put the last post to bed... no sense flogging that dead horse anymore... this T... what ever the #$%^ it is suppose to be... or once was, will be someone else's problem.... I can't justify the price he wants. The transmission and steering post/gear shift are aluminium... with a U, and there is a ...thing in there.. Hupp? Sherman? gear up or step down? Who knows, but it works off a cable thru an extra hole in the left side.
No serial number plate, dash buggered up... rather sad in general... wouldn't mind the pommie gearbox, but... for the money it would cost, and get in decent working condition again.. and still not be 'right'... in my book....
Looks like the loader will come off the extra TO30...
and in a couple days, with paint and 20 parts already in hand, I will have a trailer mover that atleast will look like a 20... possibly look more like a 20 than some of the original 20's I've seen lately...
The dorf looking one isn't the one I was interested in, but it is for sale, over my budget.

Hey Inno, warm up your brain and check out my 'other' possible project on the massey forum.. you like ... challenges?? don't cha?

In pieces laying in the weeds...that would have to go for pure scrap price. There's always another one out there calling...

Dan

Tony I think you should buy it. We could build it at the next Fena Show. I would guess it would take no more than 25 minutes. Be sure and have all the pieces. lol

I do......but my current one isn't tractor related. Gotta replace the rear brake line on my '98 Chevy truck........didja know that they put a fitting right behind the gas tank? Betcha didn't know that! My least favorite thing is working underneath a vehicle. Thought about flipping it over with the loader to make things easier but then all the stuff would fall off the dash and I'd have to pick it up afterwards.
I had a look but it was late last night and I couldn't even think of a single smart a$$ remark.

Just cut out the old one mostly, and leave the rest. Then get that nice hand formable stuff from the auto parts store and you'll be done in no time.

Cable shifted Sherman overdrive trans is what that should be. Hupp had handles as well as all other Shermans. Only the overdrive for a few years ran the cable. I have one. Flo-zed. Solid.

That's what I'm doing. No time to work on it yesterday. Unfortunately I decided on this course of action after I had already partially dropped the gas tank out of it. Live and learn!

How much does the seller want? Cable Step up will sell for $400.00, steering column is very valuable, good fenders, air cleaner. Lot of good stuff there.
