Found a really bad TE-20... all there but will need a complete tooth to tail rebuild... price is right, considering it is so close to home.. wondering how 2 tractors and other non pom/non strines do on parts, kits etc... just that this Banner Lane 20 is another option for the royal flush... sounds more interesting than the invisible TO 20/30 slight differences...

You sir...were noticeably absent from the FENA show. There were so many OTHER folks from Indiana- and beyond... your excuse better be entertaining..
You missed a lot of entertainment, your loss ya know.... loads of diesels there too..
 
No trouble at all getting rebuild parts . The quality can be a bit dodgy sometimes but there are dozens of good suppliers in the UK and Australia . Bareco Australia has offices in the USA and are very good manufacturers of high quality parts . Of course there is always Samn40 as well .
 
Yes, I wanted to be there, and with the 23C 35 too. But I got this thing called a job that messed me up. Where is it next year, maybe I can see you all then!
 
Dieseltech, did I understand Tony correctly you are from Indiana? Well just because you did not make it to Ohio and we all know Ohio and Indiana are border mates Tony took it upon himself to put it in your home state next year just so you could enjoy a great show once. It is located in Lagrange, In. August 7-8-9 2014. Even Tony knows those that have jobs are allowed to have a few days off each year for a thing called vacation. So you better put in those dates for one of your vacations next year. See you in Lagrange, In.
 
I will do my best to be there, even if the 35 is not done yet, and show it as is. August is always a busy month, tractor pulling and a trip each year to the Silver Lake dunes with the Razor and Ranger. Just could not make it this year to see Tony's smiling face! Hope he behaved himself.
 
I think he behaved himself very well. Did he tell you his group set a record for the tractor rebuild? I am sure that is what I heard.
 
All of the tractors at the shows are not restored. I had heard a person say he had never seen many Fergusons at any of these shows. The other person answered that is because the Fergusons are still working. You don't have to have it finished just bring what you can. I have no idea which EXPO had the most tractors and equipment on display but I know Brent would like to have the Lagrange show set the number to try to break at other EXPOs. The Lagrange show needs to be the best one ever in the States. I really think this could happen. Bring what you have even if it has to stay on a trailer to be shown. See you in Lagrange 2014.
 
I will do my best to plan for it. Hopefully Tony can make it too! I may still have the redneck canopy on the 35, an aluminum truck cap I have on it for shade. Tractor has been on a few drives at Rockville IN, where the covered bridge tour is held each june. It can get hot sometimes and I like keeping cool if possible.
 
A bit of strife at this end Charles. Bare co, like Sparex, over here, are wholesaler/ distributors- 'dealer only' marketing?
No engine kits on the USA side of the website? no kit prices on the ozzie site? YT only sells the z120 kits... we'll see...
 
Brent has been talking with mother nature and asked that it be perfect tractor show weather so Dieseltech and ALL the FENA members will be able to come and not be to hot or cold. See you there.
 
I think the most tractors at an Expo is in the 50's. Someone can correct me if that is wrong. I think our location is centralized enough that we can approach 60 or more. PA, OH, MI, IL, KY, IA, MO, WI, and parts of Canada are all within reach of the show next year. I am bringing my unrestored (and original) TO30 as well as my dad and my Ferguson Pony (restored nicely by Mike Mercer of OH). We also are looking at a tractor drive through Amish country as well as "how-to" sessions by some of our more mechanically adept members. Should be a great Expo. As Richard said, Get it on the calendar!
 
OKKKKK..... so if this tractor has a Standard engine... what is it??? A TE20 has a z120? A TEA20 has the Standard? A TO20 has a Z120 too... The seller is trying to remember where he put the dash... yeah it's that bad... but it is a Std engine... I did find the kits on YT store Richard! under the TO20 section... which in my mind... doesn't make sense... but anyway, now I'm window shopping....

Must be a TEA20, not TE20? The full Standard engine overhaul kit is around $450 and includes pistons, cylinders, crank shaft and con rod bearings, full gaskets etc. And if it is the early 80 mm bore Standard engine, you can install the later 85 mm cylinder sleeves.

Doesn't come much cheaper than that!

Almost no part of the TEA20 which is not available from a variety of suppliers, as Charles said.

But I'll betcha you can't put a TEA20 together in 29 minutes (or what ever it was.........) :lol:

Yes Brent, if you remember the show of 2012 featured the Cockshutts. There were several that came from Canada and each brought several tractors. We can't let them out do the Canadian Fergusons. Come on Canada bring your Fergusons to Indiana next August 7, 8 & 9.
 
Good one Bob, and for $690. Aus you can get a kit
that comes with a new crankshaft , take the $200
odd that it takes to have the old one ground and
it looks attractive .
One thing to keep in mind is that there are two
versions of the Standard petrol engine ; the TEA
and the TED . The TED was designed to run on
Kerosene and has a vastly different head . Engine
block and general lower end is all the same though

plate on the steering turret Tony .
