50 bucks??? Holy cow get that thing out of the yard now! Yes I would love to buy it from you, this trailing thing is in need of a change tho. I don't like the looks of em, but I somehow ended up in the old plow collecting hobby.... like the post in another forum... that hobby costs little and pays even less...
is it like this one? One of 2 disc plows I ever seen around here...

Yes, it"s exactly like that one. The place I go to will sell you whatever you want for scrap metal price. Whatever it weighs is what it"s worth, so I figured around $50.00 because they aren"t that heavy. There may be more plows around there, I know I saw a 4 gang disc, corn planter, a new holland square baler...I"m going back in another day or to and I"ll see if its still there.

I'd like to find a cheap single bottom plow (nothing fancy) for that rare occasion when I need a plow and to make shallow trenches for temporary water lines for my garden.

Keep an eye on Craigslist farm and garden for your area... or however far you care to drive for a deal. I see TSC 3 point one bottoms and middlebusters a lot, seems people bought it for one project, now it got to go. A subsoiler sounds great, but you want more room for your fingers or a bigger pipe, or for rattlesnake habitat expansion... yeah, I'm jokin'... how's your guys make out with those bad bites??

Tony, I looked yesterday and the Dearborn disc plow was still there. I was there getting some New Holland square baler parts and if I had enough money I would have went ahead and picked it up. I was wrong on the scrap price. They buy for 9.5 cents a pound but they sell for .20 cents a pound so the plow would have cost me close to $100.00. When I get a little more money up I may go back and get it. I did grab the scraper and eye bolts off of it.

There aren't a lot of single bottoms here. I put a water line across my yard to my shop with a single bottom - it never freezes that deep here. I did 1 pass readjusted my buddies plow did a 2nd pass, laid the PEX and rolled the sod back in. in a week you couldn't tell it was dig up. that's why I like a plow. Ive got to run a line for my deer so during hunting season they can drink right here ,maybe less poachers will get them. I saw 8 carcasses in a no hunting area last season.

My garden is relatively small here (maybe 2400Sq ft. I did 1 1/2 acres in MA. A sub soiler would be nice for furrows. I don't have much strength any more so I make my garden as work easy as I can.

Well Tony you gotta come on down and let me take you for a nature walk thru my back 1 1/2 acres. We could flip up some rocks LOL. The guy did ok - the bites weren't bad apparently the snakes didn't give him a heavy dose. (they save their venom as much as they can.3-4 days and all the swelling was gone. Now I gotta get back to my clear & clean project - to give them less habitat. Iam in a hilly rocky area near a lake in eastern Ok - so much rock I have dreams about it. We dug a hole to bury some old concrete there was so much rock I spent hours moving them to my rock ile (snake heaven) we don't dig here unless it is absolutely necessary -too many rocks left after the hole gets buried. I have a friend coming next weekto pick up 2 tri-axle loads of rock for a wall at his house. I wish he could use 10 loads.
