TO-20 Manifold - Before and After...

The shop built it up, then planed it back down flat. It fits good "dry", should be even better with the gasket.

Trac, it was at the same shop that did the cylinder head (see my "other" manifold post below), and, if I'm reading the bill correctly, he just charged me twenty bucks for the surface grind on the manifold.

On further inspection, I don't think they had to weld it up before grinding it back down, but he said they could, if necessary.

I was prepared to scrap it, and buy an aftermarket manifold, but the shop said they could fix it up, and I'm glad they did.

[i:9fb409bd2a][b:9fb409bd2a]Not if that carb of yours bolts up right!

And if it doesn't, it's gotta be your fault! :p [/b:9fb409bd2a][/i:9fb409bd2a]

This tractor wasn't in this good of shape when it rolled off the line in 1950!

Hey, I drove by the local John Deere dealer a little while ago, and there's a 9N on the lot - wonder what they're askin' fer it...

Looks as good as the new (made in India) one that
I just put on the TO-30. I would always try to salvage an original part if I could.

Thanks, Del. I'd forgotten just how bad it looked "before", until I went back to the old pictures.
