TO 35 Tach with 12V Alternator

Is there a way to hook up the tach with a 12V system when an
alternator is being used?

Some where I saw an add for a kit with a converted alternator , with a converted tach drive. I have a similar situation - I have an alternator with no tach drive on my TO-30 and would like to make it 12volt with a generator and a tach drive. It was in Kansas somewhere.

A cheap suntach brand round tach will fit perfectly in the hole. It attaches to the coil for RPM.

check this alternator out on ebay,
says it will fit ferg and has a tach drive gearbox installed.

might be your ticket.

X4 on buying from Bill in Kansas. Great guy, I have one on my TO35. Bought a new tractormeter and cable. The alternator with the cable drive has a 3.2" pulley. On my tractor the tach ran 20% too fast so I found a 4" pulley that bolted right on. Tach now reads perfect and pulley fit without redoing anything other than longer fan belt. I paid the extra $$ and had him convert to a one wire output with regulator mounted on alternator. Replaced Ammeter with voltmeter.
