I am looking at a high clearance F - 40 that needs a restoration. Metal is good, hydraulic system works, needs paint and new rubber as well as engine rebuild. Any guidelines on its value?

Just a guess without seeing it $700--$800. You can put a lot of money in it. If it had good tires you could pay more. Tires will cost $1000 to 1500. If you do all the work your self it will still cost a lot.

The high version of the F40 is very rare tractor. I would pay as much as 2000.00 for it.
