Hey Tony, speaking of disc plows...

I used mine this morning. I plowed a small spot behind where I am building a shed to plant some cabbage and stuff. You were the first one to tell me that I needed a disc plow Tony. Now there is no comparison between it and a moldboard plow. I like how it doesn't leave a hard pan and leaves a looser crumbling furrow. Which is better for planting anyway. After that I hooked the old Dearborn sickle mower up and it only took me 15 mins this time. I'm getting better at it...lol

I have a set of MF 64 disc plows (bent tube) frame.
My disc plows do a great job of turning over ground.
if you have roots, rocks or heavy filth, they are great.

we need to see a picture of your plows, not everyone has a set of disc plows.

my friend has a set of the older straight frame Ferguson disc plows. We bought this set together then decided every man needs his own set of disc plows, so we bought the second set.

I posted a pic of mine after I bought it but that"s been a good while back. Mine is the straight beam Ferguson. I think the reason Massey changed to a bent beam was it allowed the second disc to make a bigger cut than the straight beam ones. I don"t know that but that"s the conclusion I came up with. If you ever get the chance measure the distance between the right edge of the first disc and the right hand edge of the second disc on both of those plows that you are around and see if their isn"t a difference. I had read that the even later models of Massey disc plows had a multi piece welded beam instead of a one piece beam that had been bent. I"m sure it was cheaper to manufacture that way. I haven"t ever seen one though.

Here you go Maxwell, I have noticed mine still has the plugs in the beam. Most of them I see the plugs are long gone. I never have removed them or the end caps to see if there is anything in it. I have heard of Ferguson wrenches being in there. I need to put a new disc in the front because mine is getting worn down. $148.00 thru Agco for the 1/4" one instead of the thinner 3/16" one that is available aftermarket. I actually have a two bottom "A-151 disk plow" as IHC called it for my farmall super A. It only takes about 2 hours to hook it up.

Atleast that mower is only a 4 point hitch, not the 6 &1/2 like the FEO20's... but you want a vee belt balance head instead of a cam lobe and hockey stick drive don't you?
I see your 20 has the same trendy red highlights as my 30, so Sam aught to pick on you too don't ya think?
I think I have to stop typing and wipe the drool off the keyboard... looking at all these disc plows...

I have 2 Disk Plows for sale. I can bring to Vienna if interested. E-mail open.

#1--$400--P-AO-21
#2--$450--P-AO-20

Other not for sale
#3--22-P-AO
#4--P-AO-21
The difference between the 20-21-22 is the measurements between the disk and the short and long tail wheel length.

Forgot the #2 plow has the weight inside pipe frame. Only one I have seen with it, only read in manuals where you could add as option. I may have to see if other may have a wrench inside. LOL

It may be 4 point hitch but look closely. You have to put those 8 3/4" extension links in the lift arms and then the special top link bracket that goes on the long hinged pin before you can use it. It doesn't bother me to have a pitman arm mower because all I use one for now is trimming fence rows. I had two belt drive mowers, a New Holland 451 and a Ford 515 but I have gotten rid of both of those. I actually have the belt guard for that Dearborn mower. It seems that was the first piece that farmers discarded. The belt guard is worth as much or more than the whole mower. Tony are you gonna leave Vienna with a disc plow? Come on...us disc plow owners are like a cult...join us...join us...lol. Yes Tony my poor little tractor got the MF35 paint scheme sometime in its life. Now that I have found the right shade of gray I can start putting it back to its original color. I am going to try to come to Vienna but even if I do I won't be bringing anything.

Those are good looking plows miner. That is a good price on the ones for sale. Have you ever came across the straight beam Ferguson that had the third disc added? I have only seen them in pictures.

I've seen them but never bought one. I saw one a few months ago and it sold for $550 at a auction. The 3rd is a option add on. That's what the holes at end of beam is for. It just bolts on. I've looked for just the option add on at sells but never been able to find one. Also in brochures they show 4 & 5 bottom.
