What a disappointment. This came off a 9N. It sez 'Ferguson' but it doesn't fit any of my Fergusons... in the N website manuals page, it shows a 9N as a subject, so I don't get it. The front and possibly back mounting bolt plates will have to be fabricated for a 35 & up, this won't fit a 30 at all that I can see. Don't own a 20, but will measure up to my friend's tomnorrow or??
The pto pulley on the shaft is way off, the pulley on the shaft will have to be re-engineered too. And I thought the FEO20 was a Rube Goldberg. And to top it all off, my grog shop said they think Carling Black Label went out of business! Please tell me I am halusinating all this from the heat...

How could it not fit a TO-30? If it fits a 9N it has to fit a TO-20 or TO-30. The attachment points are the same between all of them. Same length lift arms, same top link rocker, same spacing on everything. It only shows a 9N in the manual because the were produced for the N series starting in 1946. No TO-20"s existed yet.

You do still have the 1 1/8" pto shaft in your TO-30 don't you? I cant figure where the difference would be attaching to a 9N or a Ferguson. People have even swapped the rear axles between the two brands.

JASON!!! How long would it take you to drive up here? Leave yesterday.
TO30, the bolts in the ... tranny to diff joint? are from the back forward into blind holes in the tranny half, these brackets weren't made to do that. Or they would be even further off. And no pairs of holes are the same center to center.
Can't focus that good, but the bars are 22&1/2" apart, the 35 is 23&1/2... the TO 30 is 28 inches!! The pto pulley is much newer, has the adapter in it, but the HF diff must stick out the stern a couple 3 inches more on the 35's, I was so put off I forgot to measure it on the 30. I don't know how badly someone reworked this, but nothing is even close. I am stumped. Email me your phone # if you want gory details...

Well Tony, I haven't driven anywhere in over a week. My old truck kind of tore up. It wasn't the trucks fault though. It's a 1978 Ford F150 short wheel base 4x4. I put a new fuel pump on it and the pump had 10lbs of pressure. Way too much for a carburetor so I ordered a Carter pump from Rock Auto and while I was waiting on it to come in I decided to fix a burnt exhaust valve. The motor was rebuilt by a previous owner but when he had the heads fixed they reused the original soft valves. So I put all new valves, springs, retainers, locks, timing set, cam and lifters while I was in there. I ground the valve seats myself with a black and decker valve seat grinding kit I bought on eBay a year ago. I've saved a lot of money that way. I should be finished hopefully tomorrow because I'm having to work in between the rain which it does every day here. With that being said, my best friend has an 8N and next time I go over there I will measure his and then measure my TO-20 and you can compare them to your TO-30. See you should have taken me up on that Dearborn mower offer...lol. Although I do have an extra Dearborn I have for parts, and an extra Ferguson A-EO-A20 mower. I may have to round up some mowers I have that I know fit on a TO-20,TO-30,TO-35 and trade you out of that FEO mower...lol

That's what's changing my travel plans Jason, '88 dorF... campervan- fuel pump! An electrical gremlin, I took out the whole tank that was syphoning from the other etc etc. Got all that straightened out and back to basics... and now the wiring or ??? Is getting me disgusted. Gunshy? I don't want to be ... 'Found On the Road Dead' with a trailer full of priceless fergie mowing machines.... did I just say that? Must be the heat...

Tony,Tony, Tony....FORD=Fix Or Repair Daily.... The van is just
living up to it's good name!
Hope you get it going for this Expo everyone is heading to!

Hey Tony, you don"t need a Dearborn two bottom turning plow do you? I found one for $150.00 today, I don"t need it but I thought about getting it, throwing a little paint on it and reselling it. Most two bottoms around here go for $250.00 to $400.00.

I really don't need one Jason, still have the one my father paid $50 and a case of beer for. Which was rather a lot back then. We'll have to ask Dan S if people in the northcountry still trade farm equipment for beer...
I'd rather do slow jobs with the single bottom rollovers, I want to become a better plow-er-er, and too many furrows done badly with too many bottoms doesn't teach anyone anything. Tractor talk and youtube have many examples of that... I would like a 2 disc plow someday tho,
Hey that FEO-20 is nothing to write home about, unless you weld the hooks into bullrings to stay on the swaybar hangers. But then that is a safety feature we would just throw out. I started taking this mower apart, there might be a way to add bushings to longer bolts to adapt it to HF tractors, but still an engineering job I didn't expect.

So's anyway, as an update, I had to go way into Conn today, had a hunch I should carry the 2 mower brackets with me. Yep, ran into friends with a rough 9N, easy to get to- yep, the brackets fit the dorF instantly. The bolt holes and castings are very different, and assembled with nuts and bolts, these brackets fit inboard of both ends of the tranny section.
Not going to be a bolt on assembly, torch and weld and drill, but I think this will eventually fit the F40...
