OT - Ferguson Sighting on TV (?)

In last night"s episode of "Endeavour" on PBS "Masterpiece Mystery", the young Inspector Morse was out in the English countryside on an investigation.

A farmer was operating a tractor, that looked to me like a Ferguson FE-35. (The series is set in the early-to-mid 1960"s.)

My wife actually spotted it first, saying, "Hey, it"s your tractor!"

Of course, me being an expert and all, I said, "No dear, that"s nothing like my TO-20: that tractor has a vertical exhaust pipe, and is a lot bigger."

On closer inspection, I had to admit that it sure looked like a Ferguson.

I don"t know if anyone else watches the show, and can confirm or deny this possible sighting.

...that tractor has a vertical exhaust pipe...

The majority of TE/TEA20 tractors in the UK and Australia have vertical exhausts as the horizontal exhausts are a cause of many pasture fires. Here in Australia I haven't seen a horizontal exhaust for many years.

Yes it was an FE 35 , saw it myself the other week .
Here is a photo of the horizontal exhaust on mine Bob , just to refresh your memory :).
Fairly standard in all cool climate orchards here in Victoria . Verticals only in the Western district .

In the '60's, the Beatles made a movie to coincide with their latest album, "Magical Mystery Tour". It was a bad production seemingly going nowhere as far as plot goes, but a reflection on the times and what you can do when you have a lot of extra $$$ and plenty of pot and acid. Anyway, there is a scene where the bus is going down a country road and in the distance you can spot a Fergie TE20 being farmed. Don't blink, you'll miss it.
