Some years ago I bought a Zang Thang but never installed it on my TEA20. Now I've lost the information/installation sheet on how to install.............

Zane, if you see this could you please post your email address so I can contact you?

And if Zane doesn't see this post, could someone please scan and email Zane's installation sheet [i:6eebf8b671]please[/i:6eebf8b671].........

Thanks

Bob you know what you have said several times? Google is your friend. Google zane thang and that will give you his email or at least the one he had at that time.

Hi Richard. Actually I did Google the Zang Thang and came up with a number of references which did not include Zane's email address or the instruction sheet.

No problems. I'll email him for the instructions.

Thanks

Isn't the Zane Thang his name for a position control device that has been around for years? They have plans to build one for free over at Fena.

A little off subject, but doesn"t the Zang Thang cause the
hydraulic system to be constantly adjusting?
And doesn"t this cause excessive wear to the old pump
systems?

I suspect you'll get an an answer from more technically minded people. But from a user perspective I see no more wear or adjustment on the hydraulics from a position control device (Zang Thang or the above pictured one) than using the draft control while plowing. Maybe it causes more wear than having the hydraulics and PTO disengaged entirely, but I think they were made to plow all day, day after day.

At least that's my justification. I followed the directions from the FENA site. A wonderful addition to my TO30.

Really if you think about it the lift is constantly readjusting itself anyway. That"s just a part of having draft control, with it constantly readjusting itself so I can"t see that a position control device would cause the lift to work anymore than if you was plowing with it.
