Guys Hello, As you may recall about 9 months ago the coolant leaked into the oil pan on my old 35, The liner packing gave out as the liner was rotting away around it. I got back to working on it a couple of weeks ago.
I put a new clutch, pilot and throw out bearing, Put an overhaul kit in the engine, all new liners, pistons, seals and bearing. I just got the head back on and pressure checked the liners to 15 psi. They are holding coolant fine(no cracked block) and it will be up and running again soon. Old Harry should be good for another 30 years LOL. -ed

Looks very good. I'm in progress of rebuilding a 56 Green and Gray.Just finished transmission and pto seals.Haven't got to engine but will replace everyting as you did. Having knee operation next week, may be at house for a few weeks.lol Unless I can work on crutches. lol

2Tractors, Hello, I borrowed the proper liner puller from a dealer, He"s a dear friend of mine.
Its got a slug that goes in the liner for a pulling tool. In this case I just put a length of rod in it and turned the crank out of the way and my son tapped them out from underneath with a hammer, they come out very easy, It"s a lot of work to overhaul that little engine. I rebuilt the oil pump and everything. LOL-ed

Miner, Hello, Thanks, Mine is a 55 green belly, I just don't like green LOL. I use to use the tractor a lot and they keep getting scratched up, and the black is easy to match with spray bomb.
If you don't keep the paint good they start rusting and look bad.
I don't need the tractor anymore , But it's like an old friend, I've had it most of my life and I can't bring myself to sell it. I have 1 landscaping job for it at my daughters house (A freebie) and it will probably sit in the barn for 2 years before I need it again.-ed

Having rebuilt both a 20 and a 35 i can relate to how hard it is to remove them. After banging on the bottom of the 35 with a 2by4 across and a bfh, I finally gave in a took mine to a machinist.Good luck with it.
