I have a very very bad oil leak at the rear main seal of my to30. It will literally dump a quart of oil in 1 hour just to give you an idea. I know I have to split the tractor to get at the seal, but do I just remove the clutch and seal retainer, then replace the seal in the retainer and reinstall? I know that there is rope packing at the main caps, but do I need to mess with these if only the lip seal is leaking? If not does the oil pan need to come off at all? The tractor could use a rebuild as it stands, but I need it to last at least the summer as is.... Please let me know what the process for the seal would be... Thanks!!!!!
