Ignition Switch Plate

Can anyone help me find the plate that goes on the dash under the ignition switch to identify the switch positions? It has "I" for ignition, "IL' for ignition and lights and "L" for lights only. I assume its a plate from the picture in the owners manual. Thanks.

Del, according to the Parts Book, that"s a "Plate, Ignition Switch Index", Part No. 181389M1. (We didn"t get one on a TO-20!)

If you do a Google search for that part number, you"ll get results for Ritchie Implement in Wisconsin; however, it says that part is a "decal", so I"m not sure what"s up. (608)623-2331 or (800)726-7278.

I was just recently in contact with Ritchie Implement, to get an OEM pivot pin/bushing for the TO-20, and they had a good price on those items.

Good luck.

Thanks for the info Tom. I called Ritchie and it is in fact a decal that they have. Figured it wouldn't do much good without the plate to put it on. They didn't have it in stock anyway but said they could order it if I needed one.

I found the one in the Steiner Catalog and it looks to be close except as near as I could tell the "stop" in the hole was just opposite of the one for a TO-30. Don't know if I could make it work or not but may have to give it a try if all else fails. Thanks for the info.

Del, if you got the decal from them you could take a thin piece of aluminum and trace around the decal on the plate and trim it all out and then mount it on the switch. Originally there was no decal it was inked onto the piece of aluminum. The actual thickness is .015.

Thanks Richard, I think this may be the route to go. I have some .015 aluminum stock and the parts guy at Ritchie Implement said the decals were only $1.70 each so I will probably try this method.
