Here is my newest acquisition, its got a rod slung right around the distributor and has the single clutch.I'm planning on putting the loader on another 35.Got it for scrap price off CL.Hadn't had a chance to tear into it may be the distributor gear went haywire. Anyone ever welded up a hole in the block or can you JB it.

That is a vicious industrial looking loader alright. The bucket isn't wide enough for deep snow, incase you needed to know that.
What's in your hand? Looks like a beer stein. Carling Black Label?

I haven't done it myself but was at an auction where someone had taken a slightly larger piece of steel and laid it over the hole and then welded it in place and the owner guaranteed that had been run that way for at least 150 hours including plowing and everything needing done on the farm. The engine sounded like there was nothing wrong.

The first time I saw an Allis WC, with the huge plate screwed to the side of the block, and asked the owner about the 'damage'...and he told me they were all built that way. So, when you think about it.... all the side of the block does it keep the oil from pouring out? A bit of tension and torque on most tractors, but if it's just a hole... cover the hole.... works for me!
My concern would be the thrashing the crank and bearing seats in the lower block when all that slamming was going on... calls for a close inspection down there. 'Before' you buy that gallon can of JB weld...

Well i guess the first order of business is to pull the dist. and see if the rod is poking thru. This 1 would do well as a loader since its a single.

Tony its got a nasty 4 letter name on it.It works off the crank and after pulling the fel off I noticed the bolts were loose to the other end of shaft that fits into the crank mount. I went to archives and read that loose bolts will break it.You ought to have plenty of info for me on the fels, thats ice water the wife brought out just before she sprung her ankle stepping off the trailer. It must of been 90 out there today, got her for $400 and going back for 2 tires and rims for $50!!-- 2N rims.

Bolts. My TO30,202, 65, and Cockshutt have bolts into the front pulley, but I have an old Dorf pump from a loader a lot like that I had years ago... it has a? 1? 1&1/4? inch splined shaft. But I don't have the splined pulley to go with it..
Ice water? sure. Why did you push your poor wife off the trailer? Poor girl. Is that why you bought her this $400 tractor?

2 Tractors, Hello, If the cam gear comes loose and wallows out the key way they will actually throw the distributor clear out on the ground. I seen one it happened to at a dealer.- may not be a rod . Nice loader, good luck-ed

I welded a crack in a Perkins lately and it is doing OK. The secret was to weld it 'cold' or just about 1/4 inch at a time and then pein all around the weld to spread the heat. I then used the wire wheel to clean the weld before striking the next arc. Keep it cold so you can always hold your thumb on the metal about 3/4" from the weld, but do let it cool naturally. Grind out a good 'V' on both parts before welding and good luck....

Thanks Samn I'm gonna print this out and take it to my welder with the tractor who just got thru nickel welding my starter nose cone.So far so good with the starter. After I pressure wash the grease off the hole I'll post some pics as the hole piece is missing. Most welders think they are the only ones who know how to do it correctly so he'll probably cop an attitude.
