to35 england with loader

My neighbor is selling his England model 35 diesel tractor with loader with 6" bucket for $700.00. Talk to him on the phone and says it runs good and the PTO works fine. Doesn,t need it anymore. Is there any thing to look for on these England models (diesel motor). Back rims are rusted. Tires are far. I"ll try to post a few pics soon. Thanks..

Although the word 'diesel' makes me smirk, and '23C' makes me shutter.... I think you better break the piggy bank tonight and pay the man. Worth more than that not running!

If that was in Tonys neck of the woods you would not have to worry about buying it because it would already have been bought. Why aren't there any great deals like that around me? Maybe there were and I didn't hear about them. LOL

A loader similar to this went for $1500 AUS recently ,a fairly average price here , that's the loader only! Seems like you can buy one for less than half that price and get a tractor thrown in for free!

3 cylinders or 4? If it is 3 cylinders perkins then break his arm to get it....quick! One of the best tractors ever built. The 4 cylinder is reliable enough but can have some cold starting issues.

Well, he held the tractor for me for three days (amazing) and went down and found out it is a three cylinder, great oil pressure and everything works on it so far. Payed the man 700 and going to drive it home as soon as it stops raining.. Wondering were I can find numbers on it, to ID her? Thanks

There should be an aluminum tag screwed to the left side of the dash. You did well, very well. some people are lucky, some people- like you! are VERY lucky! and close enough to drive it home??wow!

If your tractor is a 3 cylinder Perkins, with a dual clutch and wide fron (all 35s have wide fronts!) The serial number will start with SNM....If it has a diff lock it will be SNMY.The plate is on the bottom of the dash to the right hand side with the starting instructions on the left side.

Hello, My number on the plate reads SNMY 306186. Can you tell the year and what is locking diff.? So this would be a TO35 or a MF35 model? Thanks, Gary

OH Sam! here you go on the other hemisphere again! We drive on the proper side of the road, so our serial number plates are on the upper left, the long winded 'best chances at attempting to start a diesel' are on the lower right.... or atleast my 23C is like that. Real other hemisphere question... is that Gary's new baby... has a #306K-- in the 1964 MF202 range???
BTW Gary, the diff lock is ... a lock on the diff? The little pedal behind the right wheel brake. Both axles then powered... posi-trac? sorta thing, just to get unstuck or out of a pinch. You can't turn or corner with your foot on that pedal, but a really nice option!
