I have a to-30 z129 that when changing oil found that the front thrust wash is gone, the crank was able to move forward and scored the front main cap. I am not sure what main bearings to use, I have heard that the z134 bearings and the center flanged bearings will correct this. Do I need to replace the scored front main cap. any help is greatly appreciated. Also I want to know how to tell if I need standard or .10, .20 do I just mic them I do not know.

No one has chimed in as of yet and so I will toss out a bit of info.
IF it was me, I would drop the flanged bearing cap, Look at the back of the bearing. It should be stamped if oversized. Slide in the correct size flanged bearing and put it back together. The hard part is sliding the bearing around the top of the crank with the crank still in the engine. Not impossible and can be done.
Let us know how it goes. The damaged front cap is still holding it"s bearing in placve and I would not worry about it.

I split the tractor and I am going to put all new bearings in. The cap is holding the main bearing , but it isnt flanged it was supposed to have a thrust washer but it is gone. The bearings should have their size or part number on them. I have never done this on a tractor just cars so thanks for the help.
