is a little rough on the inside:

Tom, I found the same thing inside the tank that you did. The baffle had broken loose and was laying in there. Hope I can get by with leaving it in there. The tank had been repaired before I got the tractor so don't know how good of shape its in.

Tom;
You laid that ugly/dirty lookin' sed. bowl.....on MY nice clean shop towel???? :shock:
Look ashamed!!!!! :lol:
Hope you are gonna clean that up real good, and check the tank for gunky, before installing your 'NEW' carb!!!!!?????

Gary, if you saw how that shop towel looked now, you'd have a conniption! :shock:

(Actually, I think I took a few pix of The Ol' Carb on the shop towel, while it was still pristine. :wink: )

I'll get The Ol' Carb boxed up and sent to you within the next day or two - it was on my agenda for Sunday, but then my riding lawnmower quit, which threw my schedule plumb off! :evil:

Regarding the sediment bowl: I was always careful to follow the instructions on the knob, you know: "Two Full Turns for Main Fuel Supply/Open All The Way For Reserve." Now that I see what shape it's in, I was lucky to get any fuel through it at all!

And yes, I'm going to clean/recoat or replace the fuel tank. I need to give it a closer inspection, but, as I mentioned in another thread, I think the baffle is loose, and I'm not sure how I'm going to handle it.

Best,

Tom
