to-30 paint color

I 'm finally starting to get to work on the old 30.

I was wondering what people thought of paint colors for the 30.

I just hate to paint a good tractor all grey, even if it is correct.

I saw one that was painted a NH blue with the sheet metal light to medium grey, it looks sharp.

Then I was wondering about maybe a dark grey and light grey for the sheet metal.

I want it to look god, I want to be happy with it, but I also don't want to seriously hurt it's value because of a color choice.

Thoughts?

I would say John Deere green and yellow wheels nh blue looks like she and a deere is worth more than that blue thing !!

I think the tractor should be painted back the original color.

but who am I to talk, I have a 1957 TO-35 Ferguson that was cream color from the factory,

but I painted it red, so it would look like all other Ferguson tractors.

someday I may paint it back the original cream color.

This happened by accident. The wheels and fenders went on some other MF when this 30 was coming apart.... then it went back together completely rebuilt... so I thought it best to re install the original tin... just added a red strip cause a kid thought it would look cool. I think he's right. Seems left overs and trade ins after the merger got the new corporate paint job at the dealers. Which makes it confusing for us restorers 50 years on...
The blue one is factory - New York State contract, everything they owned was blue and yellow back then. The Turf 20... is painted like that... just to keep SamN40 awake at night....

Tony that is bad for anyone's eyes!!!!!
Ferguson grey with a good coat of clear-coat and zinc plate a few wheel nuts and linkage hardware and it will look sharp...
My own and Harry Ferguson's thoughts....!!!!!!

Your tractor, your choice. However, if you are concerned about value, there's nothing like the correct color.

Is this the Blue & Gray one you mentioned? I like the color -wish it was factory I would for sure keep it that way.It was that color when I bought it.
By the way I have a horndraulics loader that I would probably sell if any one was interested.
