I have a to 30 I rebuilt the pump chambers on the pump and went thru the lift cylinder everything looks ok. I put everything back together and the lift worked perfectly then when i went to put the tractor up the lift arms wouldnt go down I had a box scrape on the back of it it leaked down by the next morning. But I hooked up a set of harrows that are heavy and the lift works fine I was wondering if this could have something to do with the big spring on the back of the tractor. any suggestions.

The spring won't cause the arms to go down. It does need to be adjusted properly so the draft control works properly. More than likely your control valve is sticking in the pump. does yours still have the oscillator on the control valve? I have learned that if the control valve does not have an almost mirror finish to them like when they were new they will stick.

I think it does when I had the pump out i cleaned it with brake cleaner and had to replace the clip that holds the spring back I will drain the oil down and check that control valve and see if it is sticking I may need to just order another one. thanks for the advise.
