Ferguson Mower Pins

After posting about problem attaching mower, Steve Bieberich sent me pictures of the pins I was missing. Today I built a set for the mower. I took old stabilizer pins(5/8) cut ends off, cut head off a 3/4 bolt and welded them together.Beveled 3/4 nut to fit in mower arms.Cost $10 for 3/4 bolts. Hope this helps if someone else is having problem. I think they will work until I come across original set.I will post pictures after I get mower on tomorrow.

Oh, a nice rust color will do Mikey, cause that's what the rest of the mower will look like before I get it to run....
I was trying for a triple nut affair on a piece of threaded rod... but when that hook is still 6 inches away...
now that I look closer, you started with a carriage bolt... I thought you turned a trumpet affect on a lathe or something... if that was the case... I'd give you 12 dollars....

you need a ball behind the nut kind a like the three point hitch ball and it has to bottom out on the bracket so the socket on the arm can rotate freely. your on the right track but the nut will come loses when rise and lower the mower

Hey Mick, haven"t been on here for a while. This is Mike, my dad and I were the guys that brought your mower to Boonville. I"ll try to look around and see if we still have those pins. I"m puzzled why we would have left them on the tractor when we took the mower off. Not making any promises but I will be glad to look for you. Good job on the mower.

I not sure you're thinking correctly on that. If you're saying the part behind the nut rotates up and down, it doesn't. That's part of the ridgid triangular unit the top of which hooks into the long hinged pin under the top link and these bracket pins. As the mower raises up and down it pivots on that ball under the bottom of the arm. You can see it in the picture.

oops sorry your right on the movement but they still have a ball that goes on first that why the hook end is concaved to lock with the ball
