I completed a TO30 restoration earlier this year and along the way acquired a TO30 donor tractor for the block, starter, and a few other parts. I don"t have room to keep the donor tractor and would like to see it end anywhere but the scrap yard. Additionally if I could get part of my $500 investment back, that would be a bonus. I have put it on Craigslist for $350, (slightly above scrap value) and placed it on this sites "for sale" section. Perhaps a solution is to strip off the high demand parts, head, carb, badges, etc. and scrap the rest. I don"t have the time or interest to part out the whole tractor but would feel guilty knowing it"s destiny was railroad track or t-posts (scrap). I know when I was rebuilding my tractor I would have loved to know where a donor tractor was to pick parts from. I"d love to hear your opinions on why someone isn"t interested in this diamond in the rough for a few hundred bucks. I am in FT Worth TX. Thanks!
