Had problem attaching mower today. Tony had same problem several months ago.The mower was on a TO 35 when I bought it at Boonville Show. I didn't see it on tractor. What is missing that attaches lower arms to tractor? Arms are wider than bracket and pins.Anyone have pictures with mower on tractor?Tony what did you do to fix yours?

Thanks Mickey

Bad new Mickey... I never did 'fix' mine... It hung on the back of the 40 long enough for the both of them to be exactly were they were going to spend the winter... then the hooks slipped off, I lowered the bar, put stabilz in the gas tank and found a tarp that covered all of it. I think we need to figure out how to cut and weld some adapters to the real world... or just make them into plain ol 3 point hitch machines.... I believe they are designed like this for safety's sake... rather than bust something expensive, they slip off... I suppose anyway...
Jason got a couple of these I think...

There are tapered pins and tapered nuts that fit mower to stabilizer bracket.
It would also be better if yup had Ferguson stabilizer brackets instead of the angle iron aftermarket ones you have.
Call me I may be able to fix you up with both.
I don't know much about posting pictures or stuff on this site but I could help with info about Ferguson implements I have over 75 in my colection .

Nope....I wish I did have one of these mowers. I have two of the 6-AEO-A20 mowers which came before the F-EO-20, and I have that Dearborn 14-15 that I am still looking for the extension arms for.

Jason:
Do a search on the Harry Ferguson site for Dearborn mower and look under the 4/21/11 post where I posted as 135guy with the dimensions of those brackets to make them yourself.

I'll tell ya Steve, I bought these angle iron ones because they were a closer fit than the cast ones I have. The nut and bolt was just grasping at straws to get the thing on the tractor and moved. Do you have the part numbers cast into the proper ones? I'll dig up the loose one I have, and find who is wearing the other. That one will be harder to read or photogragh. I'll check the archives from last fall, IIRC, John UK might have posted the parts numbers then too.
My pet peeve is that this system completely defeats the whole idea of- '3 point hitch advantages'. Harry must have went nuts when he saw these mowers..

Those things are a sonabugger to put on for the first time. We had one in the 60's and cussed it every time because we only put it on once or twice summer. If you had to put it on once a week, I think there'd be nothing to it. A word of advice, get someone to help you if you want to keep the paint on the inside of your rims. That right side breakaway bar will swing under there and skin it up for sure. Don't ask me how I know that.
Steve is correct on the pins. They are actually short bolts that bolt to your bracket and take a nut like a wheel nut instead of a clip pin. You can see the divot for it on the inside of the arm in the picture. I found mine at Tractor Supply if remember right. Those orginal cast brackets you have should work perfect with the correct amount of offset.
I'm sure you know this, but the hole in the bracket goes to the front, and lines up with the bolt on the lift arm. (I put mine on backward once). It looks like the one in the picture is correct.
That is one nice looking 40. Have you got another picture?
