Identifying Size of Perkins Diesel on MF 165

Just bought a 1969 MF 165 with a Perkins diesel. How do I tell if it is the 3.3L or the 3.5L engine?

Won't be in litres. Cubic inches. Stamped in a machined flat boss just under the head, front of the block, left side.
Mine is 212 U, English made (United Kingdom) 212 cu.in.
Dont' know what the 'A' is for, gasoline I would bet.

Thanks, Tony...that's what I needed....they made a 212 and a 203, didn't know that was cu in....internet gave the two sizes in liters.

Mine is a 203 cu in. Found the number on right side of engine (looking from rear) at bottom of head on an attached metal plate...had been painted over!

Sitting on the tractor seat...The 203 will have the exhaust on the
left side the 212 will have it on the right side.
Simple answer in case you cannot read the serial number!

Thanks Sam...sure didn't know that....seems like most all the 165's I looked at had the exhaust on the left, so guess most were 203's.
