Well, I have one I just rebuilt that fits Z129 and 134's, if it fits yours I'll send it...but... you got a fork in the road here. Your engine is getting tired, you either need to to just maintain what's there, and go easy and carefull with it, or... especially 'OR'- if you intend to drop the pan and tear into the front main to do this oil pump... for another few days and few hundred bucks, which is the hard part I know... you could have the whole engine on the floor and put in a whole rebuild kit. Or alteast do the bearings and rings? I have a hunch your rear main is scored, and as the metals and oil heats up, the pressure drops. OR... get some grey paint and smear in on your gauges....

I just thought of something. IF- you are going to get into the bearings, I have a few used- but maybe better than your rear main I can send you too. Or, pour a nice heavy weight oil in there- hey like 2 tractors sez, it might just be the dumb little gauge.
Did you open the little line on the side of the block? start the engine and see how far it can squirt an oily mess?

i unhooked the oil line and oil came out, not fast but it was a steady stream. maybe i better just leave it alone, as i dont have few hundred to spend. thank you kindly. i would like to have an oil pump though in case i do get to it

i unhooked it from the gauge and started it. it came out ok, not a surge or anything like that, just a slow stream

i dont want to really get into something if its not necessary. i am not able to do it or the money for it. i am lucky though, i can find someone to help me free of charge so that really helps a lot/ this is my first tracor and i am proud of it. it dont leak oil all over the place and it has never used a drop of oil. it makes no noise that i can tell i know nothing about tractors but im learning a little bit as i go along. and again i thank all you guys on here. johnuk has been wonderful and richard has been great and he even gave me a part for my to-20. no charge. i havent gotten over that yet and i am very grateful to him also. i am an old man and getting older, but i still know how to say thank you

Sorry to hear about your health problems, hope everything works out well for you. Seems like all of us up in years will have to deal with cancer at some point. You will need to acquire a torque wrench to replace the pump.

If the tractor doesn't have any power it may need the governor adjusted. I've learned the hard way that it doesn't take much to throw them out of adjustment and it won't have any power.I run 30 weight in my TO20 myself.I won't say for tractor engines but I know on car engines 10 psi of oil pressure per 1000 rpm's is ok. I would think as long as you have 10-15 pounds you should be fine. Also a lot of the gauges you get now arent the most accurate when it comes to tractors. I have heard of new gauges being off up to 10 psi before. Sorry to hear about your health problems.

Ya no, doing anything besides changing that oil and filter, and checking out the governor as jason said, anything else is a big can of worms. Getting the oil pan off is a mess, and messing with the front main bearing to get at the oil punp will start getting technical... while laying on your back in a pool of oil... did you figure out that oil filter yet? It might be all gunked up, so cleaning that with a few quarts of new oil, might be all that tractor needs...for now... according to Jason's calculations... all my tractors have great oil pressure! So I won't have to paint over the glass anymore... and you can start driving yours...

yes sir and thank you a lot. no i havent bothered the oil filter yet. what is the best way to just clean it? it looks like a job to change it, which at the time i am not able to even do that/ thank you kindly

I was thinking back to the dvd on rebuilding a Z134 from the YT shop here, the guys found a few washers inside the pressure spring tube of the oil pump. I never saw one like this, know nothing about it, but IF you do end up removing the oil pan, insted of messing with the bearing, you can just take out the cotter pin and- do whatever these guys found some one did to increase oil pressure. Some one else will have to explain it better... but another free idea...
as for the TO20 filter, don't have one with a filter like that, so don't anything about those either..sorry.
