It was 63 here in Ga. and we were able to bushhog the overgrown fencerow and clear the vines from the trees plus do plenty of chain sawing and I used the 57 to 35.
Not what its like up north with all the snow but maybe thats what kills all the kudzo and bramble briers. Hope all up there don't have to bad a time!

Well 2, it's sure nice to know someone knows how I am suffering!
I hate to admit it, but the narrow MF2135- with diff lock, and chains... on pavement... was all but completely useless! The snow fell like north country snow.. light and fluffy.... but trying to push 25 26 inches of it with an 8 foot plow was more than that thing could handle... and I have a 6 foot 3 point blower, but since it 'never' snows this fluffy around here, I never hitch up that old blower. Today it would have done the job... but insted, it was a couple MTD cat trac snowblowers.... roaring 8 horse powerhouses! Tomorrow, I will get the 65 and Cockshutt fired up and bulldoze the banks outboard as far as possible. We'll need the room along the drive... for the next blizzard on Wednesday. Great.
But the wind... the endless... nonstop...bitter... blinding... miserable... bone chilling northwind.... from a blizzard that came from due south... I don't get it... Georgia ain't far enough. see ya on the way to south Florida... soon as I find the camper... it's out there someplace...

Glad to hear you're not completely snowed in. Go figure, you can never find just the right rig to move snow. Sounds like you need a few more tractors just in case!

26 inches...You get to have all the fun! Only about 12" of powder up here and the big blower just poofed it all away. You know, you're supposed to always have a tractor for every implement so everything is always ready to go, including that 6 foot snow blower.

Yeah Dan, that Farm King blower never worked well once in the snow here the years since I left the northcountry, but yeah, for Canadian/New York snow, it was a great machine for that stuff. A neighbor has a huge kubuta with all tinted glass etc etc, with a turbo snowblower- it works great even in milk shake snow. But he paid more for that rig than I did for everything I own..
I was hoping to put that blower on the ex NY thruway 3165 mower, but something is wrong with the ind pto, and half the hitch is missing, yadayada...
With this wind, without a cab... this won't be a fun job.... this is one of the issues about 'live pto flywheel A onto engine B' thing. Power, cab, wait 50 years for the next powdery snow storm to try it out.... does it snow in Georgia????
ANYWAY.....
Oh I had to use this walkalong to get the snow out of the tractor's? track? Between the front and rear wheels, or they can't start rolling at all? Umph...

Once about every 5 yrs. theres a sprinkling of snow, usually not enough to stick and all the schools and businesses shut down and all the greenhorns with their pedal to the floor slipping and sliding around. I should make a cd just for you pros! You shoulda already left!

Wanna update? Dug out the MF 65, cause it has a 3 point grader on the back, Cockshutt has nothing but weight. Holy cow. One bucket of snow after an other and other... Let it idle down to switch gears, get another bite of snow... oh man. I got soooo little done in 3 hours. I shut it off and started an MTD snowblower again... 3 times faster... and no mountains! I am always worried about- the next storm... Then, when ready to put the 65 away, I decided to lower the scraper and clean up the clumps, OK now that worked well... could have done it with a TO30, but it is on the 65, so around and around scraping down to dark earth for the 'solar heat'. And like always... ready for the next storm..... oh man....

In the 3 years I've had the 202 I don't think there has been a snowfall I couldn't plow with it, no chains, no diff lock but a 220 backhoe hanging off the back for weight and tire pressure down around 15psi. The bucket, however, is only 5' wide so the rear tires cut a larger swath than I can move with the bucket.
I went this afternoon down to a co-worker's place to clean out his driveway and yard. He hasn't done more than pack it down and shovel around where he parks his truck all winter. I pushed probably close to 2' of snow, right down to the ground in places. I am guessing the 35 with back blade would have struggled with that.

I used my MF-35 with chains and a 6' rear blade and it moved the snow in small bites. Up here in VT we only got about 18" so less than you had Tony.
