F40 on ebay

It's a shame, maybe 30 years ago it was worth 2,000 but just to beat you to it i'll offer 300.lol

Yeah, pretty rough looking, not much more than 300. And not even running. Tsk tsk, bad E-Bayer.

I himhawed around for a week or so before I finally bought this beauty that had been setting along a fence with a hole in the block for about 15 years. It came with its own garden!Price..$425. I bought it to switch out the gears to my high clearance to gain 4 extra mph for going on tractor rides. Good thing...when I got mine apart this is what I found... some body had been there before me. They had welded up the axle ends and ground them down with a hand grinder and the pinion wasn't to pretty either. They were both made in 56 so I rolled the whole rear end of the utility up to mine and away we went...well, not quite that easy but I had all the parts I needed, plus the donor had a new hydraulic pump in it!
It'll run about 21 mph now, so now I can run about half, two thirds throttle in the fast group.

Heres another pic of the grill...it was laying in a pile after repairing my 40, and I thought, Hmmmm, ya reckon I can beat that straight? A good deal of time later and a bunch of pounding, I came up with these....not perfect but not so bad either!

Looking at the front grille....it could maybe need some attention to the brakes!
But then ....maybe it was just a teeny bit too long!

Lots of good parts on the tractor. I will agree that 2K is on the high side, but it has a lot of potential for parts.
