FE35 vs TO35

I have been searching for engine parts for My TO35 diesel (23C). While I have found quite a lot,
I"ve noticed that many more parts are available
when I search for FE35 parts. These usually are european parts houses.

My question is: Is the Standard 23C fitted to the
european FE35 the same as the Standard 23C fitted to the TO35 exported to America? Should the parts fit?

Thanks,
Phillip

Yes most parts fit,,,Tony will be along later to fill you in with finer details!
In some cases the US head will have 4 heater plugs and the UK head will not but most other head parts are the same.

Do you hear something that sounds like a wild animal in the woods? That's me running away screaming.
OK Sam don't go away so fast... 2? 3 different heads and injection?, pre heat systems?
I think all versions were sold in the states, I will bet in block parts are the same... things for the head.... better get all the part numbers triple checked, with photos... right Sam? Where's Sam?

The main thing I was wondering about are threads.
For instance I've had the head off 3-4 times for various reasons. My local machine shop says don't re-torque head bolts more than once due to stretching. I've located some new head bolts but not sure if threads would be the same as exported versions.

I doubt you would have any trouble with your present head hardware. What you have is not new type torque to yield studs or bolts like most new engines have. That is why the shop is wanting you to replace them, is a must on most late model engines. I reused all original hardware on my 23c with no trouble at all when it was overhauled.
