Well Tony, you were right!

Well you were right Tony. I went and got that disc plow. It pulls easier and cuts deeper. It does a good job. The only downside I have found is trying to plow a hillside and throw the dirt up hill. It tends to walk the tractor sideways but that is the only down side I have found.

But it"s only when going sideways across a hill and trying to throw the dirt up hill. Any other time it plows great. I can try lengthening the top Iink and see it that helps.

Don't listen to Mikey! That plow is no darn good fer ya! I'll be there tomorrow with my trailer... I'll take ya up on that clutch too... that's a neat massey back there... can I have that?? Is that your 175? wow.
I don't want your 2 bottom plow back there. There's no coulters on it.

Not only do I have the clutch I also have a good single stage flywheel. Yes that's my 175 in the background. I love that tractor. I'm glad I didn't make the picture any wider or you may have saw more thIngs you would want....lol

Have you had the end cap off yet? Sometimes if you
are lucky you can find the proper spanner inside the
tube wrapped up in an old rag . Here's hoping for
you.

The rear "furrow" wheel is there to counteract the problem you have, make sure that it is digging into the ground. Be sure to set the Top Link to the correct length (25") from centre to centre of pin holes. The Furrow wheel should be spring loaded, is it still working OK or is it seized or broken. There are plenty of adjustments available on the Rear Wheel so you should be able to get it to do what you want it to do. John(UK)

We always used to plow around a hill, throwing the dirt downhill. It was easier to plow that way. And we figured after about 20 years of doing that it would lower the slope of the hills a bit.

:)

The top link is set at 25". The spring on the furrow wheel is working I"ll have to look at the adjustments on it. I haven"t taken an end cap off and looked inside. I never thought anything about it to be honest. I"ll look inside.

Well I plowed about 3 acres with it today. Does this look about right for land that has never been plowed before?
