I had one in the UK and it was a great tractor. Probably the best I've ever had. I know that sometime I'll wind up importing one from the UK. The small pedal on the right side is the independent brake for that side, there is a matching one on the left side, the pedal in front on the right actuates both brakes at once. These were real good starters, they had a different head to the 23C that Tony is messing with...In fact they were very popular frugal little tractors and if you are a serious Ferguson tractor collector they should be the one to own in USA, Although it is not the only one....2 turned up at the EXPO in Michagan a couple of years ago. Tony in Mass. 01-13-2013 09:51:16 76.127.225.182 Report to Moderator	Re: Diesel TE20 in reply to Dan S (NY), 01-12-2013 18:42:36   On my 35 diesel, and I remember seeing this on others in ths time frame, there are 4 'bosses' cast in the the left trumpet, facing forward. A special battery box would bolt to these. I was told this was for a second battery, but I see this location was needed for this fuel system too. I am sure John would have pictures of this style battery box, I don't even have pics of the bosses right now...guess I never had to take pictures of them before? This engine is direct injection huh? No battery box under hood (bonnet). Wee little tank in its place. 2. Huge fuel tank, atleast a couple gallons more than average? 3.One glow plug on intake manifold. 4.Injectors are in the head where my 4 glowplugs are. Completely different head? 5. Wee little pedal where a Ford 9N would have the right brake pedal... but on this, would this be a diff lock? Also makes sense with a chain on left. My 2135 only has a chain on the left at the moment, that's because the right side fell off, and I don't feel good enought to fight it back on. But with a diff lock, right chain doesn't matter...well, last 2 blizzards it didn't.   [Reply]  [No Email]

John(UK) 01-13-2013 06:57:41 79.76.255.227 Report to Moderator	Re: Diesel TE20 in reply to s19438, 01-13-2013 05:32:57   Quite a few did this with the chains or wheel girdles or wheel strakes on the left rear wheel, this was because when plowing it was the most likely wheel that would spin because it was on top of the un-worked ground while the right wheel was on fresh ground which helped it to grip better, plus it had more weight on that side from weight transfer from the plow..John(UK)   [Reply]  [No Email]
