old buck saw not 3pt

This is a poster child for why the world now uses chainsaws. Plant flowers around it? Use it as a head stone for all the fingers it amputated???

hard to imagine some people still use these things. i have seen them demonstrated at shows before but i would never touch one.

Tony I know of more people that have lost fingers from a table saw or a band saw then a buzz saw. I cut fire wood for over 20 years with one and never lost a finger or even come close to loosing one. They are just as safe as the operator, same as any machine.

Like Bob, I've spent a lot of time using one of these things. I don't think they're any more dangerous than a chainsaw.

I have one thats mounted on drawbar of a Farmall B. It has been on there 52 years and still useing it. I never take it off the tractor because it makes good ballast for the loader on front. As far as being dangerous they are no more dangerous than a chainsaw.
