To get rid of old tractor rears, you might try the free section on Craigslist. Some folks use them for planters, sandboxes, or playground equipment.

I wouldn't sell these if I had em. You might kick yourself someday. Rims good? One new tire? Centers and bolts are nice? Wait for another tire to show up, and just keep them in a safe place. The rotten one will come off with a sawzall, going on is much easier. I have been hoarding every wheel and tire that I run across.... nice to have choices, spares, post a pox eclipse project material etc etc...

what do you do with the old tires ? here in SE Pa i cannot legally burn them the trash people will not take them and the local tire shop charged me 35 bucks to get rid of two 12.4x28 beaters about six years ago.

Sawzall with the bimetal? blade makes quick work of them, I like to use pieces as an 'lawn ornament' that keeps someone from driving over a drain grate, too close to the mail box post, things like that. The rest you can chop up into small car tire sized pieces and the weekly trash guy will pick them up. One time he got out and asked me for any more whole ones for the trendy sports 'workout' props. I can think of other things to do for exercise than playing with old tractor tires....whatever does the job? They're all gone....quick clean and legal...

| Don't you ever get fog in SE Pa? It really cuts down on the things like small fires that they can see from satellite....!!!!
Sam

Lets have a look... Tire alone is around 275. The problem being finding a buyer desiring to buy one tire. That leaves you trying to underbid a shop and make a quick buck. I have a set of new 11.2 X 28 that will find thier way onto flea bay with a minimal bid of $500. Reserve of ...? Currentlty the ground is slightly white and 31 degreees and falling. Hopefully tomorrow is warmer and the white will go away.

The cheapest new tire on ebay is 385 and it's not a goodyear, does not have the tube, no rim and no center. This one still has the t!ts on it.Most new ones are around 500 and they are off the wall brands. But only one caller and he thinks it wont fit a ford 8n.
