This last two years I have run a bus tour to the Friends of Ferguson Heritage (FOFH) AGM. We have then travelled onwards to visit other Ferguson collections in England, Scotland, Wales and Ireland PLUS we also went to France to the Massey Ferguson tractor factory!
This incoming year the AGM is in Devon, right in the south west of England and I am currently planning another trip.
We leave Ireland on Friday 22nd March and travel through Wales and onwards to Devon. First we will see the collection of The area co-ordinator in Devon and stay in a hotel near Exeter.
Saturday we visit Sparex tractor parts distribution centre, then there is time to tour Exeter for shopping etc .The AGM is in the afternoon followed by dinner and evening entertainment.
Sunday morning we visit Mike Thorne's famous Coldridge collection This is one of the best private collections in England featuring many prototypes and even tractors belonging to MF. After noon we wil travel to see Stonehenge, one of the wonders of the stone age world and onwards to a hotel near London.
Monday we travel into central London and will visit as many of the famous sites as we can get the coach to. We will stop when it is possible for photographs etc, but our main reason for visiting London is to go to the Science Museum to see the first tractor Harry Ferguson ever built the 'Black tractor' This is a unique opportunity to see this tractor, the first ever to have the famous 3 point linkage. We stay north of London Monday night.
Tuesday we travel to the JCB factory. Here we will tour the visitor museum and the excavator and earthmover factory then after lunch we will tour the Fastrack tractor factory. Again a unique experience to see sheets of steel go in one end of the factory and come out as an excavator at the other end!.
Wednesday is not fully planned yet but we do hope to visit more collections on our way up to Scotland and home to Northern Ireland. Here we have an optional trip planned to Harry Fergusons original Homestead and memorial site plus some more collections.
I have not the full costs worked out yet, but expect it to be similar to past years....around £450-£470 (£1= $1.65)
We stay in the best hotels on a bed, breakfast and evening meal basis and the tour coach/bus is as luxury as can be,with an on board toilet and coffee maker. We stop approx every 2 hours at services. I am offering you all this chance first as the bus quickly fills up with locals......email me asap if interested.

We have two International airports, Mickey ...Dublin and Belfast.
I would say Dublin will be the cheapest. I can also arrange discounted accomodation in a hotel near the airport plus they have a transfer shuttle. Don't book any accomodation or flight times until contacting me. Also fly over a day or two early to sort out jet-lag before the coach trip!

So Sam, what is up with the Shannon airport all the Boston Irish fly to? Too far away? B&B and meals accounted for in the L460?... sorry, we don't have a pound sterling key on our boards...

Tony, Shannon is in the back end of Nowhere, set right in a bog, You don't want to go there! Anyway, the hotel where we make the connection with the bus is right beside Dublin airport and there is even a shuttle service. It is right beside the Motorway so it is real handy for pickup and set down. The price includes bed, breakfast and evening meals plus all entry fees to collections and the congestion charge for the bus going into London. The only thing you need money for is if you really feel the urge to eat mid-day, Oh and we do have the Mc Dumpster over here and you may need a few pennies for any charity cans at some of the private collections.
