My 1958 TO-35 with the 20C has over 4000 hours. It
puffs smoke and has blow-by through the dipstick
tube. Seems like it"s time for a rebuild. I"m
quite capable of rebuilding engines (cars,
specifically - I"ve done 3 of "em and they are
still going....)
Anybody have any recommendations? I"d typically
disassemble it then have it machined based on it"s
wear. Are there any things that I should look for?
Is it possible for me to just do a re-ring and get
away with just that?
I know very little of these engines and don"t want
to get into anything that"s beyond my abilities.
(The diesel scares me because of the injector
timing)
Thoughts from the more experienced?
Thanks in advance!
