If you mean the top casting under the seat, you can't just weld it(unless you know what you are doing) as it has to withstand a lot of pressure. You can replace the top casting new ones are available and they are strengthened for the later tractors. What will most likely have happened is that someone has used a higher pressure safety Valve on the older top cover and it can't withstand the extra pressure. Make sure that the bolts attaching the cover to the tractor are torqued correctly or it will do it again. All the controls and linkage inside will need to be changed onto the new cover and re-set. The Top Cover isn't listed on this site that I could see, but it is Sparex part S42293 (MF Part 180908M1) which will be available from any Sparex parts dealer, you should also fit a new Safety Valve in case it is this that has stuck and caused the problem If you want the information about doing this, let me know and I will send it..John(UK)..fergusontractors@hotmail.com |
