I rebuilt the carb using the basic rebuild kit the tractor will run for about 10 seconds then stop it has plenty gas to the carb i removed the drain plug and gas just runs out. I turned the power needle out 1 1/4 turns and replaced the spark plugs

How long did you drain the gas when you removed the plug? Did the gas pour out strong? It sounds like you have a gas line blockage.

They are very sensitive to a tiny bit of trash anywhere in the myriad of passages. Last one I worked on, I tore it apart three times before I finally got it all out.
Did you take the carb completely apart and thoroughly clean all the tiny passages? Sometimes if this is the problem, you can make the engine run using the choke, either partly or completely choked, depending on how bad the clog is. If it will run better on the choke, tear it back apart and keep cleaning and blowing it out.

Are you sure that it is a fuel problem, it seems from your description that it could be an electrical problem with either the Condenser or the HT Coil failing. Change the Condenser first as it is cheapest to do and they do often fail and if that doesn't cure it try a Coil or at least have your coil tested...John(UK)[email protected]
