New engine

Gentlemen,
I have acquired a TEA/TO-20, not too sure which,
with a Z-129 motor which has a nasty oil/water mix in the pan. My ?, What is the largest motor that can be bolted on, as in no mods or adapter etc used ?
Just asking tho. May only be a head gasket.

I have a TO-20 that I plan, with a little motivation, to dissassemble this spring/summer. Never had engine running, but had coolant in radiator and oil in pan, and turns over, so think block is good. If you are close to Central Ma, we can work something out.

if it has a Z129 it"s most likely a TO-30.

It will almost certainly be a TO30 unless someone has changed the Engine. The water in the oil, it may be the Head gasket or a cracked Head or the seals on the bottom of the Sleeves. I have just been reading about someone who fitted a 6 cylinder Perkins Diesel into one, but it was a lot of work..nothing is impossible with these tractors...John(UK)[email protected]
