TO30 Brake linkage

I just picked up a TO30 after a long search for a tractor to do a little bush hogging with and, more importantly. to tinker with or rebuild. Seems to run pretty well and the lift/PTO function which was the important thing to me as I know little about those systems.

The first issue I would like to take care of is a missing part. Please forgive me as I am new to these old tractors and I may get some of the part names wrong. I am missing the linkage that goes from the master brake pedal back to the brake shaft on the right side of the tractor (same side as the master brake pedal, if that makes sense). Being that my property has a few hills I would like to get that fixed as soon as I can.

Any idea what the part number might be or where I might go to find such a part? Thanks

If you mean the Brake Rod that runs alongside the Transmission, both sides are identical so you could use that as a pattern to make up another one. Brake Rod 181297M91 Complete Rod, I doubt if you will be able to get one as it was not a fast moving part so will not normally be stocked even when the tractor was in use more often than it is now. But you should be easily be able to make one up. You will however need to adjust the Length of the rods and check the levers on the Brake Cross-shaft or the brakes will not balance and you will also need to check the Independent brakes as well or again the Brakes will not balance. Thank you, sir. I appreciate the information. That is indeed what I mean, the brake rod. I am going to pick up the tractor today, I will take a closer look when I get it home. My suburban neighbors will LOVE the fact I have this tractor parked in my driveway for a couple of weeks before I move it out to the property, I am sure.

Thank you for offering the information, I have an owners manual and service manual on the way. Would it supply the same information you are offering?

*Edit* Using the part number you provided I was able to locate a couple of different folks that are selling the part used at a reasonable price, thanks again.

Thanks, I will be in touch soon. Ran into a little issue loading the tractor, it died and would not stay running, Unfortunately there was some old gas and mess in the bottom of the tank and I am afraid moving the tractor around while the fuel level was low allowed the "mess" to get sucked into the fuel system. I am heading back out tomorrow with some tools to flush out the bad gas.

The piece that the brake rod attaches to is also missing from the master brake side, but the one wheel brake pedal is there. The other side (left) is only attached to the master brake but does not have it's own pedal. When I get it back home and can take a good look at it I will figure it out.

I'm in need of that same brake linkage with the end clevises any chance you have one? I also need one of the independent brake,pedals the left one is missing from my tractor, TO30 I believe. The data plate is missing but it has a Z129 continental which leads me to believe its a 30. Any and all help would be appreciated.
