Tractor Supply M-F Grey

Can't say for sure, but on most of the actual Massey-Fergusons, the gray paint was darker and kinda metallic looking. When I was looking for a tractor a few years ago, I saw a couple of TO30s at dealers that they had painted with that type paint. I didn't think it looked that good at all.

Well, I may have been partially mistaken in my first reply. I just checked the paint offered by Yesterdays Tractor and it gives the models and years for each paint. So you can order it here if you can't find it locally.

I wouldn't waste money on that TSC grey, it might be the MF flint, which is nothing like your 20... try to find a spot somewhere with original paint still hidden... hey to me it is nearly primer grey, and usually faded to an off white.
!!!!! Go to the FENA website! there are color charts on there with paint codes, you might want to take this code to NAPA or a paint store and have a can mixed. Atleast yours won't end up MF flint- or stone, forgot what they call it.

They have MF Gray and they have Ferguson Gray. At least they used to. Haven't been paint shopping in a while. MF gray was flint gray and Ferguson gray was the old battleship gray we love. Although I found their mix to be a tad dark.

The TSC Ferguson Gray is a nice paint. I used it to restore the Ferguson Build Tractor I have.

It is a little darker and less blue than the orginal paint tone.

FENA has a good paint code list. For many suppliers.

I use urethane auto paint when I paint tractors I restore $$$. When I paint implements I use Wal-Marts Rustoleum Smoke Gray. Paint looks good and paints good and not expensive. Just thin it.It's as close to the old Ferguson Gray as you can get.If your just painting a tractor to use you may want to paint a small part and see if you like it. It paints alot better than Tractor Supply. I don't use Tractor Supply, it fades the first year. I've used all brands of paint.

Tony, I have to laugh when it comes to shipping these hazardous materials, sometimes paint is hazardous and sometimes it isn't. At least 15 years ago I could haul a load of 1 gallon cans of paint, total of 40,000 lbs no haz mat placards. However if I had only 1 50 gallon drum on the trailer I had to put placards on. Of course I realize these rules seem to change whenever the DOT wants to mess with the drivers.

Some of the freight companies will haul hazardous materials others don't want to put up with the ever changing rules and just do not haul any hazardous materials. I do not know what the extra cost is to a company that ships hazardous materials but I would have to think it has to show up in the shipping prices.

Is that a fergy rake? Can you give the model number. Also a front and back photos. It look like the one I have. I need to make the guard that keeps hay from the belt, and unbent one or more of the pipes that the tines mount to. Thanks ROZ
