TO-20 PTO seal

Hi, I recently bought a Ferguson TO-20 Serial #11399
and am in the process of replacing the PTO seal. The
problem I have is trying to find the proper seal to
fit my PTO housing. The one that I received was
2.460 diameter O.D. for a 1.625 shaft. The package
says it is for a massey ferguson and the I.D. is
correct but my housing measures 2.381 dia with an
inside mike. Did they send me the wrong seal or do I
have a weird housing? Any help would be appreciated.

The seal is not just the rubber lip seal, it also has a protector seal that is on the outside of the tractor when assembled. This is to prevent damage to the seal by grass wrapping around the shaft as it turns, but really it is better with a proper guard under the PTO to prevent this.Make sure that the sleeve that the seal bears upon is not marked in any way or it will damage the lip of the seal, even a slight mark will damage it.
The correct size of the seal that you need is:-
1-5/8" x 2-1/2" x 7/8" it is Sparex part S65359 and is available from this site..John(UK)[email protected]
