2-row cultivator

I found a two-row Ferguson cultivator on Craigslist. Would you assume it would be set up for 26" rows? Looks like it could be adjusted. They are asking 160 and it's in good shape. No paint, but looks okay. It's about 100 miles away. Would it fit in an eight-foot pickup box?

I think it would fit in a pickup bed.
might take along some 10ft 2x6 lay them down and they would stick out enough to support any shovels sticking over the tailgate, if necessary.

if the two row is anything like the old one i have, you can adjust the shovels to plow any width rows you want.

great old tools, this one is set up for my 42" rows and has a set of fenders to protect the small plants.

Should when the frame mambers are only 7' long and they are infinatly adjustable, some models depending on the shanks are easier than others to set row spacing. A ferguson should have the knife type guide, Dearborn had the rolling coulter but even the Ferguson and Dearborn look identical the shanks will not interchange as the cross frame angles are 1/4" different in spacing. The spring shank models were advertised as being able to be set for even 4 rows at 20" spacing and they can be set up as a field cultivator.

Yes, it should fit, but you could take your tool box and take it (partially) apart if you need to.
