since some one else already buggered up the left side. it sure made replacing the temp. and oil gauges much easier. will be hidden when hood is back on.

duct tape it in or just let the rubber hose hang there or put a piece of window screen over the air cleaner inlet and fasten it a hose clamp.

Seriously, most of the guages on my '55 to35 are knackered too, and that thought crossed my mind.... or, recruit an 8 year old to reach in there with a penlite and insect spray... hey, the good thing about halloween is all the bartering you can do with the left over candy...
I'd like to know how exactly did the factory get these guages in there? On a bench before going over the steering column for certain.... and I suppose 50 or 60 years ago 12 and 14 year olds were smaller and had skinnier fingers....

It's almost like they put the guages in the console then pressed/crimped the back on. My 202 has already been "modified" but the TO-35 will still need some fine tuning as almost all the guages need to be replaced. I will NOT be trying to keep it original, my hands are too big for that and my 11 year old son lives too far away. It will be getting cut!
