Torque for oil pan bolts

Again looked thru the manual and found no specs for torque for oil pan bolts. I found the part where it said "install oil pan then fill with oil". I did find the oil capacity. Tripped over it. Couldn't find it a couple of weeks ago. I bought a new oil pan here and was surprised to find it is cast iron not sheet metal. TIA

I doubt if you have to torque the oil pan bolts they are not a critical bolt other than just holding the pan on. Just tighten them good.

Use general torque specs for the SIZE of the bolt. There are charts avai;able in most automotive service manuals suach as MOtors or Chiltons. UNLESS it is scewing into aluminium then other find such a chart for Al relative to bolt size..

I tend to tighten just enuff to leak. (%^) Either over or under. For over 40 yrs I've tried to tighten valve cover gaskets, oil pan gaskets, etc. only to have maybe 5% not leak, some sooner than later. I'll take a shot and see I guess.
