Need 12 volt starter for TO-35

I'v been looking for a 12 -volt starter for a 59 TO-35

serial number ---SHM 197273 .

With the ZB 134 Continental engine.

All i have found for the continental have been for a 6-volt tractor.

I prefer to get one in the U.S.A. to save on the shipping cost.

Have you looked on ebay i just got a used delco remy and i'm very happy with it. I had a after market one that only lasted for six months around $120. bucks what junk. It doesn't matter 6 volt or 12 and one from a to20 or 30 will work.

I did find one with the correct model numbers on it listed at "SSB Tractor".

Now the next question is ' can it be pulled off of the engine with out removing the dist. ? It looks pretty close to me.

I just pulled the starter off of my '55 TO 35, it is close, but you can get the starter off without pulling the distributor. You will have to wiggle and turn it a bit, but it can be done.
