how do i remove the rear main seal on a Ferguson To 30

TO30 split tractor remove flywheel and there is the seal bolted to the rear of the block.

In addition to what has already been written in the reply below, you will need to remove the Oil Pan on some engines to remove the housing with the seal.If you want written information on how to do this, email me and I will send it, just tell me again what you need.John(UK)[email protected]

Split tractor, remove clutch assembly, flywheel, and oil pan. remove bolts on the outside of seal ring, remove two lower seal ring bolts whose heads are inside the engine at the rear inside bottom of the engine... These bolts are why you have to remove the oil pan. Remove the seal ring, R & R the seal. Reassembly is in the reverse order of above. Make sure you use lock washers on the two bolts, and some blue locktite.
